Setup:

Line up your players on the sideline facing the other sideline and make sure each player has a ball.

Players learn to move fast while maintaining control of the ball.

Execution:

  1. On the coaches whistle or signal the players will sprint across the field to the other sideline and then they’ll sprint back.
  2. They must dribble the ball and stay in control while they sprint. They can’t just kick the ball to the other side and then run after it.
  3. Players should concentrate on keeping their heads-up and running as fast as they can.

Coaching Tips:

• This drill will teach players to move faster with the ball and to keep their heads up while dribbling.
