Setup:

Put four cones up in a large square that’s about 40 yards by 40 yards, about half of the soccer field. Have players line-up even with the cones on two adjoining sides of the square.

Execution:

  1. On the whistle the players will dribble their ball to the opposite side of the square.
  2. Since there are two lines the players and they are going to different ends they will have
to watch-out for each other as they cross the square.
  3. Once they reach the other side, blow the whistle again and have them return.
  4. Repeat several times.

Coaching Tips:

  • It’s important to encourage players to move at a good pace but also remember to teach players to keep control of their dribble by keeping their head up.
